Conference tourney on the horizon this weekend

Three meets over two days prep for the stretch run
DENTON, Texas — North Texas Swimming and Diving will compete at SMU and TCU this weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be the final times for each to compete before the conference tournament starts on Feb. 22.
The swim team will be in Dallas for the SMU Time Trials, a chance to beef up qualifying times. The dive squad will be facing off with SMU and TCU on the tower at 12 p.m. Saturday in Dallas with another meet on the springboard against TCU at 12 p.m. Sunday in Fort Worth. Diving coach Stephanie O'Callaghan said this final weekend of competition will be a great final test for the two squads.
"The divers have been looking really sharp in practice as we start to focus on simplicity and consistency leading into the conference tournament," O'Callaghan said. "This last chance to compete in all three events will be a great opportunity to help us fine tune any last details and to practice the mental aspect of competing."
