Men's Golf Opens Play at The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - The UNT men's golf team opened up play at The Hayt on Sunday at Sawgrass Country Club and were led by sophomore Vicente Marzilio, who shot an opening-day 75-74 and is tied for 29th at 5-over par entering Monday's final round.
The team is at 28-over par in 13th place with Jacksonville heading into Monday after shooting a 300-304. UNT is one shot back of No. 37 Louisville and No. 40 UAB and two shots back of Arkansas State. Sophomore Tucker Allen followed up Marzilio with a pair of 75s and is tied for 34th at 6-over par.
The Mean Green will tee off the final round on Monday, beginning at 7:03 a.m., and will be paired with Jacksonville and Navy.
