Dallas, TX – North Texas infielder Kailey Gamble has been named the Conference USA Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Gamble earns the honor for the first time in her career after finishing with a .500 batting average (5-for-10) with three home runs, four runs, one double, seven RBI, one walk, and 15 total bases this past weekend against Louisiana Tech.
A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gamble had three hits, two runs, and four RBI in Thursday's 8-2 win over Louisiana Tech. All three numbers tied her career-highs while she finished a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Gamble also homered in each of the three games against the Lady Techsters.
