Softball Add Kady Self to Staff

Two-time national champion brought on as volunteer assistant
DENTON, Texas – North Texas softball announces the addition of Kady Self to the staff as a volunteer assistant.
Self was a four-year letterwinner at Oklahoma, primarily playing left field and first base. She was a two-time national champion with the Sooners in 2013 and 2016. She also won Big 12 titles all four years in Norman.
Prior to joining the Mean Green, Self was the head coach for the Gametime Stars Fastpitch Softball 18U team in Oklahoma City.
"Kady is a great addition to our staff," head coach Rodney DeLong said. "She brings a ton of knowledge, not only from her playing days at Oklahoma, but also her coaching experience in the last several years. She is a hard-working, humble person that also has a way with managing people. We are extremely happy and lucky to have her on staff."
Self was a two-time member of the NFCA Central All-Region team as well as the All-Big 12 team, in 2014 and 2015. She also collected Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors in 2014 and 2016. She finished her career at OU ranked sixth all-time in batting average at .369 and ninth with a .456 on-base percentage.
