Softball Unveil 2022 Fall Schedule

UNT set for seven games beginning Oct. 5
DENTON, Texas – North Texas softball reveals its fall schedule featuring a home date against the Oklahoma Sooners on Nov. 10.
The 2022 Conference USA championship squad will play seven games from Oct. 5 to Nov. 10. Six of the seven meetings will be played at Lovelace Stadium in Denton.
The autumn slate begins with a home matchup against North Central Texas College on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. UNT's lone road contest will be at Oklahoma Christian on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. in Edmond, Okla.
The Mean Green will then host Weatherford College (Oct. 12), Sam Houston (Oct. 14), McLennan CC (Oct. 26) and Grayson College (Nov. 2).
The schedule will conclude with a visit from the two-time defending national champion Sooners on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. in Denton.
Head coach Rodney DeLong leads his team into his fifth season at the helm, touting a 129-52 record. Fresh off its 2022 NCAA Regional appearance, North Texas will return 15 players, including seven positional starters and two pitchers, from last year's team. In total, DeLong and his staff have added eight new players to the roster.
