Softball Named No. 24 in Preseason Ranking

DENTON – North Texas softball is ranked No. 24 in the D1Softball Preseason Top 25, the publication released on Tuesday. The ranking marks the first appearance inside the top 25 for the Mean Green in program history.
UNT enters 2023 after its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Regionals last season, finishing with a 37-16 record and capturing the program's first Conference USA Championship tournament trophy.
The Mean Green are the only team from C-USA listed in the top 25.
North Texas will open versus UIC on Feb. 10 at 9 a.m. at the Buzz Classic on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta.
