Marzilio Leads Men's Golf On Day 1 At Gator

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The UNT men's golf team got a strong performance from junior Vicente Marzilio and sits in ninth place at 7-over par with a handful of holes left to be played in Round 2 after Round 1 was suspended late due to storms and darkness.

Marzilio was tied for 10th after Round 1 was completed, while freshman Alvaro Roldos was tied for 18th in his collegiate debut, and the team ended the first round in a tie for sixth place with No. 35 North Florida. When play was suspended in the second round, Marzilio was in a tie for 19th at even-par, while junior Tucker Allen was leading the team in the second round at even-par for the round and is tied for 30th at 2-over for the tournament.

Second-round play will resume on Sunday at 8 a.m., with the third and final round beginning immediately thereafter.
