Men's Golf Concludes Florida Swing

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The UNT men's golf team finished up its second tournament in The Sunshine State in a week by wrapping up play at the Gators Invitational with a 10th-place finish, as junior Vicente Marzilio led the way with a 6-over finish to tie for 24th individually.
Junior Tucker Allen was the team's top player in Sunday's final round, which saw teams dealing with consistent 40 mph wind gusts, with a 4-over 74, followed by Marzilio's and Diego Prone's 6-over 76s.
"We started strong again this week with a solid game plan," head coach Brad Stracke said. "I believe we need to get in better shape to sustain our rounds. Overall, the team has improved a lot from the fall. I'm looking forward to The Prestige next week."
The Mean Green will return to competition Feb. 20-22, in Palm Springs, California, at The Prestige.
