CELINA, Texas – The 22nd-ranked UNT softball team lost 4-2 to McNeese on Sunday in the final game of the Tracy Beard College Classic.
"Over the course of the tournament, we did some things well and we did some things poorly," head coach Rodney DeLong said. "Overall, I have to prepare our team better. We didn't finish the weekend well and that's my fault. I won't make that mistake again. This group knows how to bounce back, and we will be better because of our struggles."
McKenzie Wagoner started in the circle, hurling 4.0 innings with two strikeouts while allowing zero earned runs.
