Men's Golf Opens Up Play At The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - The UNT men's golf team opened up the spring schedule at Sawgrass Country Club at The Hayt on Sunday and finished the day two holes shy of completing the second of two rounds on the day.
The majority of the field completed 36 holes but one group, including the Mean Green, had play suspended due to darkness. They will complete the second round on Monday morning before beginning the third and final round.
When second-round play resumes, the Mean Green will be in 12th place at 19-over with a couple of holes to play. All of the team's players completed the second round except for junior Vicente Marzilio, who sat at 1-over for the second round with two holes left. He is currently tied for 31st at 3-over for the tournament to lead the way for UNT. Tucker Allen is tied for 47th at 5-over with two rounds complete.
