Softball Falls to Louisiana Tech on Saturday

RUSTON, La. – UNT softball dropped the second game of its conference season 7-2 to Louisiana Tech on Saturday at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field.
The Mean Green (13-9, 1-1) suffered the defeat after allowing six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Lady Techsters (15-7, 1-1) scored the majority of its runs on three walks, two hit-by-pitches, two wild pitches and two hits in the frame.
Jodie Epperson led the team with a 2-for-4 line from the top spot in the batting order while Kalei Christensen finished 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Starting pitcher Ashley Peters (ND, 4-4) threw 3.1 innings with two strikeouts and gave up two earned runs on four hits and two walks. With the pair of strikeouts, she now has 190 in her UNT career and currently sits in seventh place on the all-time leaderboard for the Mean Green.
