Gamble Homers as Softball Drops Midweek Meeting

ARLINGTON, Texas – Kailey Gamble hit her 13th home run of the season as UNT softball fell 3-2 to UT Arlington on Wednesday at Allan Saxe Field.
Gamble led off the second inning with the solo home run and gave the Mean Green a 1-0 lead. The hit marked career RBI No. 100 for Gamble and she is ranked seventh all time for North Texas. She finished 1-for-2 with two runs and a walk.
North Texas (19-14) ended the game with two runs on three hits and three walks. UTA (12-17) utilized a fourth inning three-run home run to secure the win.
McKenzie Wagoner spun 6.0 innings for the Mean Green and added two strikeouts. She allowed three runs on four hits and four walks.
Emma Grahmann made her first start of the season and went 1-for-3 with her first RBI of the year.

North Texas returns to Denton for a three-game set versus UAB with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday at Lovelace Stadium. All games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
