UNT Men Open Play at the Aggie Invitational

BRYAN, Texas - The UNT men's golf team opened play at the Aggie Invitational on Monday and shot back-to-back 3-over 291s to sit in eighth place on the leaderboard, two shots ahead of No. 41 LSU and New Mexico State.

The Mean Green were led by junior Vicente Marzilio, who is at even-par after a 73-71 and tied for 20th place, while junior Diego Prone is at 2-over par and tied for 31st after shooting 69-77.

Heading into Tuesday's final round, the Mean Green are just one shot back of Sam Houston and No. 47 Houston, two back of fifth-place Little Rock and four back of No. 24 Baylor, which sits in fourth place.

UNT will be paired on Tuesday with Houston and LSU, and fans can follow the action live on Golfstat, as well as keeping up with the program throughout the year on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
