UNT Men Begin Play At El Macero Classic

DAVIS, Calif. - The UNT men's golf team began play on Friday at the El Macero Classic and ended the opening day in 12th place after a 3-over 291.
The Mean Green were led by Vicente Marzilio and Cody Winkler, who each shot even-par 72 and are tied for 22nd.
UNT is in a tightly packed leaderboard and will continue play with the second round on Saturday before finishing up the event on Sunday.
UNT will be paired with Fresno State, Grand Canyon and Santa Clara on Saturday and tee off from the 10th hole beginning at 10:15 a.m., and fans can follow the event live on Golfstat.Â
