Softball Suffers One-Run Loss at Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. – UNT softball fell 1-0 to Missouri in a pitchers' duel at Mizzou Softball Stadium on Friday night.
North Texas (26-18) was held hitless, but two runners reached base, both in the sixth inning. The Mean Green dropped its fifth one-run loss of the season to Missouri (27-20) in the opening game of the series.
Ashley Peters (L, 10-8) limited the Tigers to one run on three hits and two walks over six innings with four strikeouts. She collected her eighth start with five or more innings pitched and one or fewer earned runs allowed of the season.
UP NEXT
UNT plays its second game of the series against Missouri on Saturday at Mizzou Softball Stadium. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+ with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.
