Christensen, Cobb Earn C-USA All-Academic Nod

DALLAS – UNT softball catcher Kalei Christensen and outfielder Lexi Cobb repeated as members of the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league announced on Friday.
Christensen and Cobb become the first pair of Mean Green softball teammates to win the honor in consecutive seasons. They join Kelli Schkade as the only players in program history to earn the distinction twice.
Christensen, who has started in 48 games this season, is second on the team with 29 RBI and .366 on-base percentage while maintaining a 3.964 GPA in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology.
Cobb holds a 3.842 GPA in Computer Science and has appeared in 48 games this year. She leads the team with 28 runs, 19 stolen bases and nine doubles.
The Mean Green open its final home series of the season on Friday at 6 p.m. against Middle Tennessee at Lovelace Stadium. Fans can purchase tickets HERE.
