Women’s Tennis Opens Fall Season at Home with Diving Eagle Invite

Mean Green set for 2023-24 season under first-year head coach Amanda Stone
DENTON, Texas – Under first-year head coach Amanda Stone, the UNT women's tennis program is set to start its 2023 fall campaign at the Waranch Tennis Complex in the Diving Eagle Invite this Friday through Sunday.
The Mean Green will play host to LA Tech, SFA, McNeese, Louisiana, Tarleton State and UTA in an individual tournament over three days at the Ranch.
UNT's 2023-24 roster features seven underclassmen of the eight total players and returns four players from last year's squad.
Marina Adati, Olivia Halvorsen, Olivia Malm and Nformi Stadfany all return for their second year with the program. All four returners head into the year with extensive experience as they all appeared in at least 10 matches a season ago.
Meanwhile, the Mean Green add talented freshmen Lou Chalard, Carolina Laydner, Lilly Schultz and Stanislava Shulzhenko to round out the eight-member squad.
The tournament will consist of four singles flights and two doubles flights, starting at 8:30 AM each day.
Friday's action will start with both doubles flights as well as one singles flight. Saturday will be the inverse with one doubles flight and a pair of singles while Sunday will feature the finales for one singles and doubles flights.
Live streaming for the entire tournament will be available via TrackTennis here. Fans will be able to watch action on the six main courts at Waranch throughout all three days of the tournament.
