Men's Golf Opens Season in Michigan

HARRIS, Mich. - The UNT men's golf team opened the season under new head coach Luke Calcatera at the Island Resort Intercollegiate at Sage Run Golf Club on Sunday.
The Mean Green climbed four spots on the leaderboard from Round 1 to Round 2 on Sunday by shooting a second-round 276 to move into a tie for fifth place with Boise State.
UNT was led by senior Tucker Allen, who enters the final 18 holes on Monday in a tie for fourth place after his 70-66 on Sunday, as he sits at 8-under par. Fellow senior Cody Winkler is at 3-under par and is also in the top-20 on the leaderboard heading into Monday's final round.
Dawson Meek is one shot back of Winkler while making his Mean Green debut, and Diego Prone is at even-par entering Monday's final round.
Tee times on Monday will begin at 7:40 a.m., off holes 1 and 10, and live scoring for the event is unavailable due to technical issues.
