
Soccer Hosts UTSA Thursday Night

The Mean Green (7-3-2, 3-1-0) and Roadrunners (6-5-1, 1-3-0) are scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
North Texas heads into Thursday's matching sitting in a tie for first place of the American Athletic Conference standings with nine points. The Mean Green are 7-1-2 over their last 10 matches, which includes five straight home victories.
UTSA is coming off two narrow defeats to No. 17 Memphis, 1-0, and Rice, 1-0.
The Mean Green defeated the Roadrunners last season in San Antonio, 2-0. The two teams have split their last four meetings. North Texas leads the all-time series history 8-5-0 and is 5-1-0 all time at home versus UTSA.
In last season's two-goal victory. Current Mean Green keeper Maddie Ogden scored her first career goal. It was the first-ever goal by a UNT keeper.
UNT freshman Claire Niedermeier and senior Rachel Roebuck are tied for the team lead with seven goals on the season. It is the third-most goals in the AAC. Sophomore Alexis Miller has assisted on seven goals this season, which leads all AAC players.
After Thursday's home match, the Mean Green have a 10-day break. They'll travel to Rice on Oct. 13 to play the Owls who they are currently tied for first with.
