Men's Golf In First After Day 1 at Maridoe

CARROLLTON - The UNT men's golf team is leading the North Texas Intercollegiate at Maridoe Golf Club after 36 holes on Monday, as two Mean Green players are tied atop the individual leaderboard.
UNT shot a 17-over 593 after a 297-296, led by senior Tucker Allen and sophomore Simon Roessler, who are tied at the top of the leaderboard at 1-over par, as Allen had one three subpar rounds on the day with his opening-round 71.
The Mean Green, who are hosting the tournament, have several players competing as individuals, and one of them, Harry Lord, had the low round of the day with his second-round 69.
Senior Diego Prone rounded out the top-20 finishers competing for the team, as he sits at 7-over entering Tuesday's final round in a tie for 15th.
Round 3 will begin Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
