Men's Golf Opens Play at Argent Financial

CHOUDRANT, La. - The UNT men's golf team opened up play on Sunday at the Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek Country Club and were led by a stellar effort from freshman Blake Keen, who fired a 3-under 69 and sits in a tie for third place heading into Monday's second round in just his second collegiate event.

Keen had five birdies on the day, including on his final two holes of the day, to card his 69, which puts him two shots back of second place and four back of the lead heading into play on Monday.

The Mean Green are tied for 14th as a team at 7-over par for the day and will be paired with Jacksonville State and Abilene Christian on Monday.
