Men's Golf Wraps Up Play in Mexico

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico - The UNT men's golf wrapped up play at the Vaqueros Intercollegiate on Tuesday and finished third at 20-over for the tournament, five shots back of second-place UTEP and two shots clear of fourth-place Abilene Christian.
The Mean Green were led over the three-day event by senior Dawson Meek, who recovered from a rough opening round to break par on Monday and Tuesday and finish tied for fourth at 1-under for the event with a 78-67-70. Freshman Alex Huang also finished in the top-20 with a 71-71-78 to put himself in a tie for 13th place. Joe Stover broke par on Tuesday to finish tied for 23rd at 8-over after his final-round 71.
The Mean Green will have a quick turnaround to their next event, as they'll travel to Puerto Rico for the Palmas del Mar Intercollegiate, which begins on Monday and will run through Wednesday.
