Men's Golf In Second After Day 1 in Puerto Rico

HUMACAO, Puerto Rico - The UNT men's golf team opened up play on Sunday at the Palmas del Mar Intercollegiate and will enter Monday's second round in second place after shooting a 3-under 285.
The Mean Green are four shots back of No. 46 TCU for the lead after stellar rounds from freshman Alex Huang, sophomore Joe Stover and senior James Tureskis, who all broke par in the opening round.
Huang used three birdies and an eagle to put himself in a tie for sixth after his 2-under 70, while Stover and Tureskis are tied for ninth after 1-under 71s.
The Mean Green will be paired on Monday with TCU and Rutgers and UNCG, who are tied for third, two shots back of UNT at 1-under par.
