Softball Welcomes Tulsa for First Home Conference Series

Mean Green have won six of its past seven against the Golden Hurricane
DENTON – UNT softball returns to Lovelace Stadium for its first home American Conference series of the season beginning Friday at 6 p.m. versus Tulsa.
The three-game set will be streamed on ESPN+ with game two scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. and game three Sunday at noon. Fans can purchase tickets HERE.
The Mean Green (13-13, 3-0) opened league play with a road sweep over UAB which marked the sixth opening conference series sweep in program history and third in the past five seasons. UNT is tied for first place in the American with South Florida (20-8, 3-0) and UTSA (14-12, 3-0) after opening weekend.
Bradi Harman and Riley McNemar led the North Texas offense as Harman finished with a .556 batting average in three games against the Blazers, including a four-hit performance on Saturday, while McNemar tallied a team-high five RBI and three runs scored.
The Golden Hurricane (8-15, 0-3) have lost its past five games including a winless home weekend against UTSA and falling 17-1 in five innings at No. 6 Oklahoma on Wednesday night.
Last season, UNT won two of three games in its road series at Tulsa as it scored 34 runs against the Golden Hurricane which marked the second-most runs in a conference series in program history. McNemar, Madison Conley and Elizabeth Moffitt each finished last year's series with five RBI apiece while Conley posted two home runs.
North Texas narrowly leads the all-time series 11-10 but have won six of the past seven games, dating back to 2022. At Lovelace Stadium, the Mean Green hold a 7-3 record against the Golden Hurricane with victories in the only two conference series hosted in Denton.
