Student-Athletes Honored At Graduation Banquet

DENTON - The North Texas Athletics Department honored 43 student-athletes who are receiving their diplomas this weekend with a graduation reception on Thursday afternoon in the HUB club of Apogee Stadium.
The football team led the way with 10 student-athletes receiving their undergraduate degrees. The men's track and field team, which is currently competing at the Conference USA championship, followed with seven graduates.
Faculty academics representative Dr. Christy Crutsinger, Associate Vice President and chief operating officer Jared Mosley and President Dr. Neal Smatresk all spoke at the banquet before the graduates were given stoles with the words "Student-Athlete" that they can wear during the graduation ceremony. The graduates also received a watch from the athletics department.
