Denton, Texas— North Texas softball fell 8-2 to Texas on Wednesday night in front of a sellout crowd at Lovelace Stadium. Texas and UNT traded runs in the first, but the Longhorns put together a big second inning for the early advantage.
QUOTING HEAD COACH RODNEY DELONG
"I feel good about our team, even that game right there. There was fight in our team the whole time. We didn't lay down, we didn't give up. That's kind of the moxy this team has. We've been down in a few games and we've battled back and got back into games. I feel good about them moving forward. I think we'll throw better Friday night. I'm excited about what they're capable of."
