Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at The Carolina Cup

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The UNT men's golf team wrapped up play at The Carolina Cup on Tuesday with an 8-over-par 296Â to finish sixth in a tightly packed group with a three-day total of 888 - one shot back of fifth place and two shots back of fourth place.
The Mean Green were led on Tuesday by senior Diego Prone, who shot a 1-under 71 to finish the tournament in a tie for 14th place at 5-over par, and senior Cody Winkler, who shot a 1-over 73 on Tuesday to end as the team's top finisher at 2-over for the tournament - good for a tie for fifth place.Â
The team will wrap up its fall schedule with a trip to The Bahamas for the NCAA Bahamas Invitational from Oct. 20-22.
