Men's Golf In Second After Day 1 in Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas - The UNT men's golf team sits in second place after the opening day at the White Sands Bahamas Invitational after junior transfer Key Coker fired a 6-under 66 in his Mean Green debut to lead the team to an 11-under 277 at Ocean Club Golf Club.
Coker is tied for first heading into Saturday's second round, while UNT sits four shots back of leader Santa Clara. Coker birdied his first two holes and three of his last four to lead the way for the Mean Green, who also got a pair of 2-under 70s from seniors Diego Prone and Tucker Allen to put them in a tie for 15th. Senior Cody Winkler's 1-under 71 has him in a tie for 21st.
UNT enters Saturday's second round two shots up on third-place Jacksonville State and three up on fourth-place Southern Illinois.
The Mean Green will be paired with Santa Clara and Jacksonville State and will tee off with a shotgun start on Saturday at 7 a.m.
