The Mean Green get back to action days after competing in the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Golf Channel.
THE EVENT: Carolina Country Club will play at 7,071 yards, and will be a par-72 course for the tournament. The three-day event begins Sunday and runs through Tuesday with tee times off Holes 1 and 10 on each of the three days.
THE FIELD: There are 16 teams participating in the tournament: Central Michigan, Charleston Southern, Howard, Jacksonville, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Lafayette, Lipscomb, Mercer, Tennessee Tech, UAB, UConn, UNT, USC Upstate, UTSA and Winthrop.
REPRESENTING UNT: Competing for the Mean Green will be Diego Prone, Tucker Allen, Cody Winkler, Alvaro Roldos and Harry Lord.
RESULTS: Live results will be posted on Golfstat. Full recaps from each day of competition will be posted on MeanGreenSports.com at the end of each round.
LIVE STREAM: Fans will be able to watch the Mean Green on select holes with a live stream from GameKast.
INTERNATIONAL FLAVOR: The Mean Green feature seven international players this year. Rafael Estrada (Mexico), Nikhil Gopal (South Africa), Harry Lord (England), Diego Prone (Argentina), Simon Roessler (Chile), Alvaro Roldos (Spain) and Philippe Thorin (Ecuador) round out the international players. Meanwhile, four players (Tucker Allen, Preston Holmes, Key Coker and Cody Winkler) are native Texans.
UP NEXT: UNT will wrap up its fall slate on Oct. 20-22, at NCAA Bahamas Invitational in Nassau.
HOME SWEET HOME: The Mean Green golf programs are thrilled to have the Bruzzy's UNT Golf Practice Facility, which is a $3 million on-campus facility that features state-of-the-art technology, such as TrackMan, swing catalysts, indoor hitting bays, a short-game area and a PuttView indoor putting green.
