Men’s Golf Finishes 11th at William H. Tucker Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The UNT men's golf team completed play at the William H. Tucker Invitational at the UNM Championship Course in Albuquerque with a third-round score of 288 on Saturday.
The Mean Green finished tied for 11th place as a team after shooting 292-285-288 to total a 1-over-par 865.
Mitchell Maier was the highest finisher for North Texas as he collected his second top-20 placement in as many events to start his college career. The true freshman carded a 2-under 70 on Saturday to finish 3-under par for the tournament.
Kalle Svederman matched Maier's 70 as the low round of the day for UNT. He finished in 48th place after posting a pair of 70s following a first-round 78. Noah Blaickner was close behind, posting a 3-over par 219 to finish 62nd.
Rayhan Latief placed 69th in his collegiate debut at 4-over par, while Alex Huang totaled a 223 finishing 79th.
North Texas will return to action Oct. 5-7 at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas.
