This is the first time since Feb. 15, 2024, UNT has hosted Memphis, a program that has reached three Final Fours and played in two national championship games. The Mean Green beat the Tigers in the previous matchup at the Super Pit, 76-66.
Following Thursday night's home game North Texas will travel to the east coast to face Temple Sunday at 1 p.m. CT in Philadelphia.
HELLO COLE FRANKLIN
Last week junior guard Cole Franklin had back-to-back career performances. The local DeSoto product on Feb. 4 scored a then career high 19 points at Rice and then followed that up on Feb. 7 with a career high 21 points at UTSA. The 6-foot-4 Franklin made a combined 17 field goals over the two games last week. But made zero 3-pointers. Prior to this two-game stretch, he had made exactly 17 total field goals in all the previous conference games combined (nine games). Franklin was one of the four Cleveland State transfers who came with Daniyal Robinson. He saw his minutes drastically increase following the injury to Will McClendon on Nov. 12 and then was inserted into the starting lineup on Dec. 14 due to his ability to defend forwards and because he's another ball handler. His scoring was just extra. Since Jan. 21, Franklin is averaging 11.3 points per game on 56.8% shooting. He was averaging 4.4 points per game prior.
DAVID TERRELL'S LAST NINE

Over the last nine games, Terrell averaged 15.3 ppg on 43.1% shooting, 4.6 apg with a 2.8 assist/turnover ratio, 4.2 rpg and 2.3 spg.
