
Softball Visits UTSA for AAC Series

SAN ANTONIO – UNT head softball coach Rodney DeLong leads his team to UTSA for a three-game American Athletic Conference series at Roadrunner Field on ESPN+. The Mean Green will open with a doubleheader on Friday at 4 p.m. with game two afterwards.
North Texas (13-11, 3-0) claimed a 7-1 midweek victory over Abilene Christian at Lovelace Stadium on Tuesday. Sophomore Mackenzie Childers spun her third complete game of the season with nine strikeouts against the Wildcats.
UTSA (8-19, 0-3) have lost seven of its past nine games including a three-game sweep at UAB to open its league slate.
The Mean Green hold a 10-game winning streak in regular season conference contests after its sweep over East Carolina in its first series as a member of The American on Sunday.
DeLong has recorded 14 wins against the Roadrunners in his UNT career, more than any other opponent. All-time, North Texas owns a 28-13 record versus UTSA and have not lost a series in San Antonio since 2016.
