The Mean Green (10-13) mounted a late charge with all four of its runs in the fifth inning as the Sooners (20-2) extended its national home run lead, adding five on the night.
Riley McNemar and Kaycee Slovak opened the fifth with back-to-back singles before each scored on a pair of fielder's choices from Ariah Mitchell and Eva Daniels to break the shutout.
With two outs, Madison Conley connected for her fifth home run of the season with a two-run blast that scored Daniels. Conley extended her hitting streak to nine games with the home run while Elizabeth Moffitt, who finished 2-for-3, also extended her hitting streak to nine games.
North Texas will begin American Conference play with a three-game road series against UAB beginning Friday at 5:30 p.m. from Mary Bowers Field. The full series will be streamed on ESPN+.
